The ‘Annual Study Tour 2024’ of the Department of Law, Green University of Bangladesh was successfully held on March 3, 2024. The tour aimed to provide our students with valuable insights into historical, cultural, and social aspects, fostering a more comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape.
Our destination for the study tour included three prominent places: the National Memorial; Betila Palace and Proshika HRDC at Manikganj. Each destination offered unique perspectives that enriched our students’ academic journey.

The day started with an early morning departure from the university campus, with faculty members, students and guests boarding the buses with much excitement and anticipation. Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman, Chairperson, Dept. of Law, Dr. Mehedi Hasan, Proctor, Green University of Bangladesh, Mr. Khorsed Alam, Deputy Director, Finance, faculty members of the Department of Law along with the students of LL.B.(Hon’s) and LL.M. program joined the tour.
Our first stop was the National Memorial, a symbol of the valiant sacrifices made during the struggle for liberation of Bangladesh. The students had the opportunity to learn about the historical significance of the memorial and its role in preserving the nation’s history.
The second destination was the Betila Palace, offering a glimpse into the rich heritage and architectural beauty of the region. The students were able to explore the historical aspects of the Palace and its relevance to the socio-cultural landscape of Manikganj.
Our final destination was Proshika HRDC, where everyone was greeted with a warm welcome. The delicious food served at lunchtime, with a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes. Adding a touch of enjoyment to the study tour, we organized attractive games and cultural events. These activities not only brought joy but also fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among the students. A raffle draw was conducted where a number of students and faculty members were lucky and got prizes.

The study tour concluded with a wonderful speech from our esteemed Chairman Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman. His words resonated with inspiration and encouragement, summarizing the significance of the day’s experiences and reinforcing the importance of practical learning in the field of law. To wrap up our day of exploration and learning, we enjoyed a delightful evening of barbecue, fostering a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for all.
We express our sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this study tour, including the organizers, faculty members, and students.
The Department of Law at the Green University of Bangladesh remains committed to providing our students with holistic educational experiences that go beyond the classroom.
