The Department of Law, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), successfully organized an educational court visit for the students of Batch 242 (Sections B1 and B2) to the Dhaka Sessions Courts and Magistrate Courts on 5 November 2026. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Ms. Mirza Farzana Iqbal Chowdhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, GUB.

A total of 50 students participated in the visit, which aimed to provide them with practical exposure to the judicial system and enhance their understanding of courtroom proceedings and the application of legal knowledge in practice.

Two buses departed from the university campus at 7:30 AM and reached the court premises at approximately 9:30 AM via two separate routes, Gausia and Kuril. Upon arrival, the students were divided into groups of three and assigned to different courtrooms to observe judicial proceedings. As part of their academic activities, each group was also assigned to prepare and deliver presentations based on their observations and experiences during the visit.

The students spent a productive and engaging day observing court proceedings and gaining firsthand insights into the practical dimensions of the legal profession. Refreshments were also arranged for the participants, adding to their overall experience. The buses departed from the court premises at 3:30 PM and safely returned to the university campus at approximately 6:30 PM.

The visit was expected to strengthen students' enthusiasm for legal studies, deepen their understanding of the judicial process, and inspire greater commitment to their future legal careers. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen their sense of belonging and connection with the Department of Law and the university.

The Department of Law expressed its sincere gratitude to the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Dean, and Chairman of the Department of Law for their valuable support and cooperation in making the initiative successful. Appreciation was also extended to all faculty members for their encouragement, the Department Coordination Officer (DCO) and departmental intern Ms. Nusrat Kabir Fiha for ensuring timely transportation arrangements, the Transport Department for providing skilled and responsible drivers, and the Accounts Department for facilitating the necessary budget and financial arrangements.

The Department also acknowledged the enthusiastic participation, cooperation, and positive attitude of the students of Batch 242, whose active involvement contributed significantly to the success of the programme.

Expressing her gratitude, Ms. Mirza Farzana Iqbal Chowdhury, the supervising faculty member, stated that she was grateful to the Department for entrusting her with the responsibility of organizing and supervising the visit, which also provided her with an opportunity to further enhance her communication and organizational skills. She expressed pride in being part of the GUB Law team, highlighting the dedication and collective commitment of its members towards student welfare and academic excellence.

The successful completion of this court visit reflects the Department of Law's continued commitment to experiential learning and bridging the gap between theoretical legal education and practical courtroom experience.
