Successful Completion of Orientation Program(Summer 2021)

The Department of Law at Green University of Bangladesh is very happy to share that we  congratulated and welcomed our newly admitted students in the Summer-2021 semester through a lively orientation program on 28 June, 2021 at 3:00 PM through Zoom Platform. In this ceremony we felt very fortunate that  our honorable Vice-Chancellor  Professor Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir was present as the Chief Guest  and Honorable Pro- Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdur Razzaque and Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Law, GUB Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui illuminated us as Special Guests. Respected Chairperson of the Department of Law, all faculty members, DCO and all freshmen as well as members of law club were present in the session.

The program commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Dr. Mehedi Hasan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law, GUB delivered the welcome speech. Ms. Anjelika Hasan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law acquainted the newly admitted students with the Department and its diversified activities through her excellent presentation. Abu Nayem Miazi, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law, GUB presented a session on the Mentorship Program of GUB. Shariful Islam, Lecturer & Program Coordinator, GUB Law and Moderator of Green University Moot Court Society (GUMCS) informed the students about the culture and success of GUB Mooting through his precise speech.

As a special guest, in his speech, Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, Dean faculty of Law welcomed and congratulated the newly admitted students in the Dept. of Law. Professor Dr. Abdur Razzaque, Honourable Pro-Vice Chancellor, GUB addressed the legal professionals as the highest freedom enjoying people in terms of their work. He also praised the Dept. of Law, GUB for its continuing growth and prosperity and welcomed the freshmen to this department. Professor Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir, Honourable Vice- Chancellor of GUB in his instructional speech urged the freshmen to make themselves gifts within their LLB journey for their parents.

A mini cultural event was also arranged with the assistance of the Law Club to have some fun on the very first day of the newly admitted students.

Finally with the concluding speech of the Honorable Chairperson,

Dept. of Law Dr. Parvez Ahmed the event ended happily. 

The program was anchored by Habiba Manjur, a Law student of 181 batch of City Campus, GUB and Mehedi Hasan, a Law  student of Permanent Campus, GUB. The Program was convened by Abu Nayem Miazi, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law, GUB and Shariful Islam, Lecturer and Program Coordinator, GUB Law worked with him as a co-convener of the program.
