Successful Completion of Freshers’ Orientation Program, Spring 2022

The Department of Law at Green University of Bangladesh is very happy to share that we welcomed and congratulated our newly admitted students in the Spring-2022 semester through a lively orientation program on 03 February, 2022 at 3:00 PM through Zoom Platform. In this ceremony we felt very fortunate that our honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir was present as the Chief Guest and enjoyed the full program.  We convey our heartfelt thanks to our honorable VC sir for giving us his valuable time. Honorable Adviser, GUB Professor Dr. Abdur Razzaque was also invited as the special guest. Professor Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean, Faculty of Law, illuminated us with her outstanding speech as a Special Guest. Respected Chairperson of the Department of Law Dr. Parvez Ahmed chaired the session. All faculty members, all freshmen, students of different batches as well as members of the law club were present in the session.

The program commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Dr. Mehedi Hasan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law, GUB delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Md Arifuzzaman, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law acquainted the newly admitted students with the Department and its diversified activities through her excellent presentation. Abu Nayem Miazi, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law, GUB presented a session on the Mentorship Program of GUB. Shariful Islam, Lecturer & Program Coordinator, GUB Law and Deputy Moderator (Presentation) of Green University Moot Court Society (GUMCS) informed the students about the culture and success of GUB Mooting through his precise speech.

Finally with the concluding speech of the Honorable Chairperson, Dept. of Law Dr. Parvez Ahmed the event ended happily.

The program was anchored by Wanamika Rahman and Mehedi Hasan, both students of 191 batch of City Campus, GUB. The Program was convened by Dr. Md Arifuzzaman, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Law, GUB and Shariful Islam, Lecturer and Program Coordinator, GUB Law worked with him as a co-convener of the program.
