
the seminar titled “Educating for Justice: Empowering Law Graduates to Fight Human Trafficking”, jointly organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Department of Law, Green University of Bangladesh, was successfully held on 03 December 2025 at Green University of Bangladesh.
The programme was attended by 100 registered students of the Department of Law, along with faculty members and dignitaries from both IOM and GUB. The aim of the seminar was to strengthen awareness on human trafficking, promote legal empowerment, and inspire young law graduates to contribute proactively to justice and protection mechanisms.
The event was honoured by the presence of several distinguished guests:

Their insightful remarks enriched the session and offered students a comprehensive understanding of the legal, administrative, and humanitarian dimensions of combating human trafficking.
A special Quiz Competition was also organized for students, and prizes were awarded to the Winner and Runner-up by the Honourable Chief Guest, Special Guests, and the Chair of the Seminar. This interactive segment encouraged active learning and further enhanced student engagement.
We are delighted to share that the seminar received full cooperation from respected faculty members and enthusiastic participation from students. Their presence and thoughtful contributions played a vital role in the success of the programme.
At the closing of the programme, all participating students received pendrives as gifts from IOM. Additionally, books on anti-trafficking were generously donated by IOM to the Chair of the Department to support future research and study. Similarly, the Department expressed its gratitude to the distinguished guests of IOM by presenting them with a token of appreciation.
Overall, the event effectively raised awareness on human trafficking, strengthened students’ understanding of justice mechanisms, and inspired them to participate in future capacity-building initiatives.
