The Department of Law, Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), successfully organized a "Meet the Chairperson" session for the Internship and Research Monograph students on 23 June 2026 at Room A-601.


The programme commenced with a warm welcome and opening remarks by Mr. Shariful Islam, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator, Department of Law, who warmly welcomed the students and encouraged them to remain committed to academic excellence. He offered valuable advice on higher studies, career planning, and the importance of continuous learning in achieving long-term professional success.


Following this, Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Associate Professor, Department of Law and Proctor, Green University of Bangladesh, delivered an insightful address. He shared valuable guidance and motivational remarks, inspiring the students to uphold professional integrity, strengthen their legal knowledge, and prepare themselves for the challenges and opportunities of the legal profession.


The session concluded with an encouraging and visionary address by Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman, Honourable Chairperson, Department of Law, who engaged the students in an interactive discussion on their academic and professional development. He provided practical guidance on career planning and highlighted the essential preparation required for pursuing careers in the Bangladesh Judicial Service and legal advocacy, emphasizing the importance of developing the necessary knowledge, skills, and professional ethics for success.


Addressing the final-semester students currently undertaking their internship, the Honourable Chairperson strongly encouraged them to continue their academic journey by enrolling in the LL.M. programme immediately after completing their LL.B. (Honours). He emphasized that pursuing postgraduate legal education would enhance their legal expertise, broaden career opportunities, and better prepare them for judicial service, advocacy, research, academia, and other specialized legal professions.

 

The Honourable Chairperson also highlighted the salient features of the LL.M. programme at Green University of Bangladesh, outlining its contemporary curriculum, experienced faculty, academic environment, and role in equipping graduates with advanced legal knowledge and professional competence.


The session was also attended by the honourable faculty members of the Department of Law, whose presence and support further enriched the programme and reflected the Department's collective commitment to the academic and professional development of its students. The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, providing students with the opportunity to seek guidance on their academic aspirations and future career paths.
