
The International Conference on Innovation and Transformation for Development 2025 (ITD 2025) has concluded successfully, bringing together a diverse group of scholars, researchers, and experts who shared their insights in a rich and collaborative environment.
The pre-conference activities began with a press briefing at the Dhaka Reporters Unity, where Honourable Vice Chancellor of GUB Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin addressed the media. The Convener of ITD 2025 and Dean of Green Business School & Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, further elaborated on the conference theme to journalists and media representatives.
The inaugural ceremony, held on 27 November at the University’s Multipurpose Hall, was graced by the Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Shorif Uddin, Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, and Registrar Captain (Navy) Shaikh Muhammad Salahuddin (TAS), NGP, psc (Retd.) and special guest Professor Nakib M. Nasrullah, honourable VC of Islamic University, Kushtia. All the guests delivered inspiring speeches to motivate emerging researchers. The General Chair of ITD 2025, Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman, welcomed all dignitaries, guests, and participants with a warm welcome address in the beginning of the session followed by a thank you speech by The Convener of ITD 2025 and Dean of Green Business School & Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz.
The International Conference on Innovation and Transformation for Development 2025 (ITD 2025) was successfully held as a two-day global platform showcasing cutting-edge research, technological advancements, and transformative development practices. The conference featured high-impact keynote sessions, where renowned scholars, policymakers, and innovators shared ground-breaking insights on sustainable development, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and future-ready education. Alongside the keynotes, the conference hosted multiple parallel academic sessions, creating an engaging space for researchers from diverse disciplines to present their empirical studies, policy analyses, and innovative solutions. These sessions encouraged active dialogue among faculty members, young researchers, and graduate students.
A major highlight of ITD 2025 was the series of industry sessions led by corporate leaders, technology experts, and industry practitioners who discussed emerging trends, sectoral challenges, and collaborative opportunities between academia and industry. Adding further significance, distinguished dignitaries from home and abroad delivered insightful speeches focusing on global development priorities, regional transformation strategies, and the role of knowledge-sharing in shaping resilient societies. Their presence elevated the conference and strengthened international academic collaboration. Overall, ITD 2025 served as an impactful platform for intellectual exchange, innovation-driven conversations, and cross-sectoral partnerships aimed at fostering development and transformation.

The closing ceremony took place virtually on 28 November. General Chair Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman opened the session by highlighting the major achievements of ITD 2025. Convenor Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz reflected on the outcomes and announced future themes and research domains for upcoming ITD conferences. Honourable VC Prof. Dr. Shorif Uddin and Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed shared their thoughts on fostering a research-centric academic culture. The ceremony was further enriched by the presence of the chief guest of the session Justice Ahmed Sohel, Honourable Justice of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, who emphasized the importance of modernizing judicial systems for national development.
