Successful Completion of 1st Intra-Department Law Cricket Tournament 2025 organized by the Department of Law and Green University Law and Mooting Society

The 1st Intra-Department Law Cricket Tournament 2025, organized by the Department of Law and Green University Law and Mooting Society, was inaugurated on 1st December 2025 with a Grand Trophy Unveiling Ceremony held at the Central Field of GUB, graced by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean, Faculty of Law, Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman, Chairperson, Department of Law and Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Proctor, GUB. Their inspiring remarks encouraged students to uphold discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Thetournament then continued over three exciting daysfrom1st to 3rd December, 2025at theCentral Field of Green University of Bangladesh, filled with enthusiasm, participation, and energetic support from students across different batches.The tournament consisted of three stages: Group Stages, Semi-Finals, and the Grand Finale. A total of 8 teams consisting of eleven members competed in the T8 format across three exciting stages.Yesterday, it came to a thrilling conclusion, marking the end of a memorable three-day festival of cricket, friendship, and unforgettable campus moments.

Fromfirst dayto the grand finale, the tournament created a vibrant sporting atmosphere beyond academic settings. The final match was contested between Batch 222 and Batch 241, where both teams displayed remarkable effort, skill, and unity.

Batch 241emerged as the Champion, demonstrating strong strategic leadership, team cohesion, and consistency throughout the series.

Their outstanding performances elevated the excitement of the tournament and set a high benchmark for future editions. The Prize Giving Ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GUB, served as the Chief Guest accompanied by the Guest of Honor Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean, Faculty of Law and the Special Guest Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman, Chairperson, Department of Law along with respected faculty members who motivated the participating teams.

With this, the 1st Intra-Department Law Cricket Tournament 2025 concluded successfully—marking student unity, shared enjoyment, and the beginning of an annual sporting tradition within the Department of Law.
